Garlic Everything Bagel Hummus
One of the most common sauces for Mediterranean food is hummus. We often just buy it at the store, but it is SO EASY to make at home. And it costs hardly anything!
This recipe originated with abountifulkitchen.com. Her 5-minute hummus recipe is fantastic! But since Everything Bagel is one of my favorite seasonings and I am obsessed with avocado toast sprinkled with Everything Bagel Seasoning. I, of course, added it to the hummus recipe… and it was even more delicious! I like the added garlic flavor that really shines.
Ingredients for Making Garlic Everything Bagel Hummus:
- Chickpeas: I used canned chickpeas, but you could soften dried chickpeas overnight to use in this hummus recipe.
- Lemons: Fresh-squeezed is best! It makes a huge difference in the flavor.
- Minced garlic: Yes!
- Kosher salt: Or use sea salt. I like the larger crystals of this salt. If you use table salt, definitely use half the amount in the recipe.
- Tahini: This is made from sesame seeds. It really takes the hummus flavor to a new level and I highly recommend this ingredient. You can find it in the peanut butter, nut butter and seed butter section of the grocery store.
- Olive oil:
- Everything bagel seasoning: This seasoning is getting so popular that it’s easy to find in the spice section at the grocery store, and even at Costco. And if you get addicted to the flavor, like me, the big Costco-sized version will be needed. This spice contains garlic, onion, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and salt.
How to Make Garlic Everything Bagel Hummus:
It’s so easy and takes 5 minutes… or less! Place all ingredients in food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately or store covered in fridge for up to 5 days.
Use this hummus for dipping vegetables, for spreading on sandwiches, or for serving with Falafel! It’s delicious and healthy!

- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas drained-not rinsed
- 2 fresh lemons fresh-squeezed
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 Tablespoons Tahini
- 3 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately or store covered in fridge for up to 5 days.
